Super-constellation F-BRAD

04/03/1980

For the record: Aviation Sans Frontières was officially born on March 4, 1980 in the form of an association under the 1901 law

But it all began in 1968, when some Air France pilots and flight engineers, deeply upset by the Biafra genocide, decided to lend their support to a survival operation by an airlift with a Super Constellation. (the F-BRAD)

Other similar operations were subsequently mounted to Bangladesh, the Sahel and Upper Volta (Burkina Faso) with the loan of aircraft from Air France (B707 & B 747), SFAC (N262), Air Inter (A300), La Postale (Transall C160) ..

The Aviation Sans Frontières fleet.
