Auvergne for a Child is a Charity Association under the Law of 1901. It was founded in 2000 by Dr. Raymond Miallier, pediatrician, and Professor Jean-René Lusson, pediatrician, who is its president.
The Auvergne pour un Enfant aims to welcome, care for and cure children born with serious heart pathologies from emerging countries, but also to train doctors from these same countries in pediatric cardiology.
The Message of the Founding President
"In a world where children see their basic rights frequently flouted, the action of an association such as L'Auvergne pour un enfant seems very derisory.
However, beyond its modest but very real effectiveness in taking care of and bringing healing to children from underprivileged countries, it wants to bear witness that the most humble, the smallest of men has the right to life and respect, it wants to proclaim loudly that the "little" that can be done must be done to give hope and a smile to a child."
