ARSEAA

Arseaa was born in 1943, under the name of the Regional Association for the Protection of Children and Adolescents of the Toulouse Region. Originally, it was responsible for establishing a regional coordination for "the protection of maladjusted children". Very quickly, she became aware of the need to train a specialized manager. From 1948 onwards, the arrival of psychiatrists complemented socio-educational care with a global approach to care. 

These new concepts, techniques and practices of care are then part of psychoanalysis and institutional psychotherapy. They will leave a lasting mark on the association to the point of constituting a professional culture. Arseaa is also entrusted with a child and juvenile psychiatry sector
